Quotes to read when you're angry

“For every minute you are angry you lose sixty seconds of happiness.”

- Ralph Waldo Emerson

“Man should forget his anger before he lies down to sleep.”

- Mohandas Gandhi

“Anyone can become angry – that is easy, but to be angry with the right person at the right time and for the right purpose and in the right way – that is not within everyone’s power and that is not easy.”

- Aristotle

“Anger repressed can poison a relationship as surely as the cruelest words.”

- Dr. Joyce Brothers

Marley Words.

You may not be her first, her last, or her only.

She loved before she may love again.

But if she loves you now, what else matters?

She's not perfect, you aren't either,

and the two of you may never be perfect together

but if she can make you laugh, cause you to think twice,

and admit to being human and making mistakes,

hold onto her and give her the most you can.

She may not be thinking about you

every second of the day, but she will give you a part of

her that she knows you can break her heart.

So don't hurt her, don't change her, don't analyze

and don't expect more than she can give.

Smile when she maked you happy,

let her know when she makes you mad,

and miss her when she's not there.

     -Bob Marley.

21. Write A Powerful Goal

Mornings are very good for writing goals. I especially like that time of the day for writing goals because I have very few interference from the outside world. Which makes me much more authentic. I value more the goals written in the morning because I am less influenced. I know for sure that during the morning I don’t have to prove anything to anyone, I’m just me and what I want. Some of my best health decisions are picked up during the morning.

31. Take A Picture Of Yourself

I started this as a technical challenge a few years ago (trying to automate my Mac PhotoBooth) and proved to be enlightening. Not the actual process of taking a photo of myself each morning, but seeing those photos in a fast moving sequence months after. You can’t fool the camera in the morning. All your problems, joys, frustrations or thrills are so transparent in a photo taken in the first moment of the day. It’s like a message you send to your future self without even knowing the message.

Have a great day :)

Poem by Gabriel Gadfly

Location, Location, Location

I could have kissed you
under cherry blossoms,
pale petals drifting down
like the trees wanted to
pretend they could be
snowclouds.

I could have kissed you
in the rain, drenched to
our bones and not even
caring that the skies
opened up above us
and tried to wash us out.

I could have kissed you
in a clearing in the most
secluded woods, with
just the sound of wind
rustling through the leaves
and a few voyeuristic
finches peeping at us.

Instead, I kissed you
in the parking lot of a
Waffle House, just shy
of 2 a.m. in the middle
of a hectic week, with
our waitress grinning
at us from the other
side of the window,
because, honestly,
how could I not?

BANG!

We all remember Dave White for his popular sneaker paintings from a few years back, capturing everyone from the likes of Sneaker Pimps to Nike. Changing it up a bit, the British artist unveils his Forgotten Alchemy series, a change of pace from what we’re used to seeing. Dave will be presenting these new paintings in Copenhagen as part of the Nordic Art Fair 2010 at Art Copenhagen. For those in the area, be sure not to miss out as the fair opens on September 17th, 2010!
